Made of stones, concrete, and turf, this installation was designed to complement the large lawn of the much-used Albany Memorial Park, in Albany, CA. The arabesque form is an echo of those used in the wrought iron on the architecture of the adjacent Mission-style building. The inscription on the concrete seating area, "Be the change you want to see in the world", was suggested and voted on by the community. It is attributed to Gandhi, and reflects the positive and proactive attitude of the people living here.
